Reflection on Observation paper

So… for my observation I chose Taylor and Loomis at 9:30 on a Saturday night. Yeah yeah you are probably all thinking who observes the city instead of experiencing it on a Saturday night. Well, I had volleyball practice on Sunday morning so I decided that this would be a good time to view the city a different way on a Saturday night. I don’t spend much time in the UIC area on the weekends because I prefer to venture downtown or up north. I spend all week in class with the people who live in the UIC area, so I like to see what other types of people are in this city!

One thing that surprised me about this observation was the number of cabs that drove by within the hour I observed. More than 40 cabs drove by. How come whenever I’m looking for a cab on the weekends I usually have to stand on Taylor for at least 15 minutes trying to get a cab?
