One of my top five favorite places in Chicago is the Grand Lux Café. SO if you know me you know that I love food! I was introduced to this resteraunt when I came to school to play volleyball at UIC. When we have new recruits in town (players that we want to come and play volleyball at UIC) we take them out to dinner. Grand Lux is a place we take a lot of our recruits. Certain players are picked to host these recruits when they come in. The recruits stay with them and we are the hosts get money to take care of them. We also get to go out to dinner with them on the schools dime. When I was a freshman I got to host a lot of recruits. When my coach would tell me we were going to Grand Lux for dinner I would be so excited. The food is to die for and the atmosphere is fantastic. If you go to the link I provided there is a picture of my favorite thing about that restaurant right on the front page. It this chocolate cake with warm hot fudge on the inside. Everyone should try this place at this once in their lifetime!
