I think that the use of black and white photos on this website was an interesting choice. See Chicago from a black and white perspective didn’t take away from any of its beauty. It was a different way of seeing this city. The photographer could have done this for any number of reasons, but I think that without the distraction of color the architecture of the buildings really stood out.

Putting pictures of other great cities on a website called Picturing Chicago was also very ingenious. It allows the audience to compare and contrast these cities. Showing how Chicago has grown to be just as great as the rest of these cities. With all of these pictures being in black and white it seemed to connect these cities in some way. Even though these cities seem to be worlds apart, these photos seem to interconnect with each other.
